Vicera’s CST M sanding machine is specifically designed for sanding cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and rubber insulation on medium- and high-voltage cables. It can also be used to smooth the transition between the insulation and the semiconducting insulation screen. For final insulation surface finishing, a clean sanding belt must always be used. In addition, CST M is suitable for sanding other materials, such as metal pipes.

Compared to manual sanding, the CST M allows the work to be completed up to ten times faster, while achieving a more uniform and higher-quality surface finish. When used correctly, the tool is safe and significantly reduces physical strain on the operator.

The CST M sanding machine features a 10 mm mounting shaft for use with electric or cordless drills equipped with an adjustable chuck. Sanding belts are available from Vicera and are specifically selected for high-quality sanding of MV and HV cable insulation. For other grit options, please contact info@vicera.fi.
